EMBRACING THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

We purchase luxury deadstock which we call the ‘best waste in the world’ and remanufacture it into garments. We source exclusively from waste and use a process called design-led remanufacturing and reverse resources. This essentially means we buy discarded fabrics from the luxury industry, and let that fabric, lead the design. This provides on average 85% reduction in our carbon footprint.

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING

We believe you cannot state you are sustainable unless you treat people properly throughout your supply chain. We embrace radical transparency to address fair labour within the industry and all of our artisans are paid more than a living wage. We provide full disclosure on our supply chain, and wages.

TRANSPARENCY

We believe that customers should be aware of not only how their clothes were made, but also how much they cost to make. We publish the cost of every element of the garment from wages, packaging, shipping, manufacturing and materials and are also transparent about everyday business practices.

“I spent time with Antoinette, Co-Founder of Beira as I wanted to know more about the challenges and joys of being an independent. She doesn’t use the word sustainability but LOVE. Love in knowing who makes their clothes, love in prioritising their impact on the planet over profit, love in using discarded materials from the luxury industry. Brand embracing responsibility from beginning to end. The clothes are such good quality that you will keep them forever in your wardrobe. Beira offers a disruptive approach (although should be normality) honest approach to luxury fashion which I hope will inspire others.”

- Livia Firth MBE, Co-Founder and Creative Director of EcoAge.
