On Wednesday we were very humbled and grateful to have been invited along to attend the #responsibleluxurysummit in Milan to contribute to the conversation on #unlockingresponsibleluxury with our keynote on #roadmaptozerowaste
We were asked to participate as an example as an illustrative case for dealing with waste footprint. Our ten-minute presentation explained how Beira has devised a reverse resources strategy to remanufacturer the waste and spill from the luxury fashion industry. Essentially, this means we purchase some of the best waste in the world and redesign it into limited edition womenswear. We were completely overwhelmed by the response from so many of incredible leaders in the luxury fashion industry who attended the summit.
We were presenting alongside some incredible thought leaders, innovators and amazing brands. It was such an honour to have been recognised for our innovative, honest, traceable and transparent strategy at this incredibly prestigious platform.

As part of our invitation to present a keynote at the #responsibleluxurysummit we were invited to a private lunch with the Head Sustainable Trade and Outreach Unit, Maria Teresa Pisani from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. She is leading a project exploring global transparency and sustainability within fashion. Alongside a few representatives of the leading luxury fashion brands in the industry, leading sustainable consultants and pioneering academics, we discussed the status quo of the industry. The project scope is incredible and we were truly inspired by Maria Teresa Pisani and her goals. We were honoured to be invited and to be recognised for our innovative strategy.
We may be a small new start up but gladly we are having an impact.
We could not be happier. We really, really need to thank you for your continued support. Developing Beira has been incredible and the journey so far has been challenging at times but we have loved every single step. Here is too celebrating the success thus far and the future of the brand.
